On Friday, December 9th, I had the pleasure of DJing for such an awesome couple,  Vanessa & Matthew.  They began their journey as man and wife at Doolan’s Shore Club in Spring Lake. Having worked there several times throughout the years I knew they made a great choice (PS try the prime rib!).

Vanessa & Matthew were such a great couple and so easy to work with.  Even when we met a month in advance I knew their wedding would be a great time. About 15 minutes before we were to begin lining the bridal party up for introductions, I bumped in Vanessa & Matthew in the lobby and Vanessa was definitely a little bit nervous about their first dance and having the spotlight on them for so long. But in true “knight in white armor” fashion (Matthew actually wore a white tux jacket), Matthew assured her not to be worried and you could tell they were definitely living in the moment without a care in the world.

I knew their wedding was going to be an amazing party and a true celebration early on in the planning process, but the moment that stands out most to me and really set the tone for the night was right as I opened the dance floor. They gave me a request filled with lots of great new music so one of the “older” songs on their list was “I Gotta Feelin” by the Black Eyed Peas. I decided to open with that and it went over huge. After the break as the song begins to build back up, all the guests were jumping under the chandelier and I knew the night would be a special one. Congrats again to the new Mr & Mrs. Hanhart and I hope you have an amazing time in Italy for your honeymoon!
