Carissa and Moe yeah they were ready to party

Carissa and Moshe (Moe to his friends) got married at The Olde Mill Inn up in Basking Ridge. They had the full Elite team on hand, with  Elite Digital Images (Carrie and Cyndi) taking pictures, Elite Films shooting the video footage and yours truly MCing and spinning the tunes. The images I’ve included in this blog are from Carrie and Cyndi. To view even more head to the album they’ve uploaded to Facebook by clicking here.

After a great wedding ceremony performed by Reverend Ben Hickey it was time to party.  And party we did!  The wedding reception was scheduled to go to midnight on a Friday night which can be a little late for some crowds but not Carissa and Moe’s family and friends.  They stayed and danced and celebrated till it was time for the last song.

Probably my favorite moment of the party was when Moe came up to me with about a half hour left in the night and asked for “When It’s Love” by Van Halen.  I had my next few songs lined up and was trying to steadily increase the energy for a big finale so a slow jam wasn’t exactly what I had in mind to play next.  But hey, when a groom asks for a song, he gets it instantly (at least in my book).  So I introduce Van Halen and instead of the energy dissipating, as soon as everyone heard that classic intro to the song, the crowd erupted.  They sang along, they played air guitar,

they put their arms around each others’ shoulders and swayed to the music.  And then as soon as Van Halen ended I played “No Diggity” for Carissa and the vibe continued.  It was a great reminder for me to never be afraid of taking a sharp turn in the middle of programming because you never know what fun and spontaneous moment it could create.
Carissa and Moe were extremely appreciative of everything I was able to do for them and Carissa was nice enough to file this report on Wedding Wire.
