The new “in vogue” wedding term these days is “Bridechilla,” which, as far as I can detect, just means a bride who wants to plan her wedding with as little stress as possible. The term, and the philosophy behind it, is being discussed regularly on a podcast of the same name and while I haven’t gone back and listened to every episode I have scanned through enough to see that Aleisha McCormack (the show’s host) along with a steady parade of guests, offer some great advice to help couples do just that: remove the anxiety from their wedding planning.
As I started to think about this movement, I was quite proud of myself and my DJs because I think we have been helping couples with this long before it was a term (heck, long before podcasts even existed.) A quick skim through our WeddingWire reviews (1500 plus and counting!) shows that many of our past brides mention how easy it was to work with us and how stress-free we made the music-planning part of their reception. And while many DJs may judge success by how packed their dance floors are, we at Elite have always considered a couple’s blood pressure to be just as important. Sure we want the party to be awesome, but we also want our clients to be as “chill” as possible in the run-up to their wedding and on their big day. Here are a few ways we accomplish that:
Our Reputation. We understand that reserving any service for your wedding months and months (if not years and years) in advance comes with a little anxiety. One way to relieve that anxiety is to book services that have been around for a long time AND have a great reputation. If you ask almost any banquet hall in our area about us, you will hear nothing but good things. If you read online reviews about us you’ll read nothing but good things. And if you ask around, you’ll find that our word-of-mouth reputation is stellar. Reserving a company with a reputation like ours, has to relieve some stress.
A Full Time Office. This is our business. It’s not a part-time hobby (like it is for some DJs). And with that comes a full-time office that is staffed from 9am-8pm Monday – Thursday and also open on the weekends. If you need us, we’re a phone call (or email or text) away. Got a question six months before your wedding? We’re here to answer it. Want to add lighting or a photo booth four months before your wedding? We can get that done in seconds. In today’s day and age of voice mails and automated email responses, we’re still old school. We believe in the reassuring power of answering phone calls with a live human being and responding to emails right away.
Pre-Planning Meeting. As your wedding approaches you’ll have a face-to-face meeting with the DJ who you pre-selected. This is the meeting where our expertise and experience can really help (and help you chill!) Many couples look to us for suggestions with songs and even the overall flow of their wedding day. We can offer all that (and more) and this what gets mentioned in many of our online reviews. We take that Pre-Planning Meeting very seriously here at Elite because we believe it is essential to the success of any wedding. Here’s just one example of a client mentioning this in their WeddingWire review:
Excellent Service. All of this does not diminish the importance of what we do the day of the wedding. For well over two decades now we have built our great reputation by providing excellent MC and DJ services. We get parties rocking, we introduce the wedding party with excitement and fun, we carry nothing but state-of-the-art equipment and we want dance floors to be wet with sweat by the time we’re done with them. There’s great reassurance in that.
So if you fancy yourself as a Bridechilla, I hope you will consider hiring an Elite Entertainer to work with you on your big day. We will help you relax and enjoy the planning process from the first time you chat with us till the last song of your reception. Guaranteed.
