This past Friday, I had the honor of celebrating at the Crystal Point with an amazing couple, Kristen and S.W. Now you’re probably wondering: what does the S.W. stand for? Well, you actually pronounce it “Ess-Veeuh”, he is from South Africa and it’s an easier abbreviation of his full name. In fact most his family that were in attendance still live in South Africa.
Now usually we try to get the dancing started right away, like a few minutes after intros. But being so many people travelled from so far away, they actually asked me to keep things more mid tempo so everyone would have plenty of time to catch up and chat. Then, one dinner was done…we would drop the proverbial dancing hammer lol.
They began the night dancing to James Arthur’s beautiful, “Say You Won’t Let Go“. Kristen then danced with dad to “I Loved Her First“, followed by S.W. and his mom dancing to “Close To You” by The Carpenters. After some delicious food and some to time to talk, we got the dance floor rocking with a mixture of Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Ke$ha, Bieber and even a couple of Hardwell tracks. We sprinkled in a couple of Africaans tunes as well and we didn’t let up until the last song of the night: “New York, New York“.
Kristen and S.W. could not have been easier to work with, or more gracious with everything and everyone. You could clearly see how happy they were together and the deserved the very best!
