Melissa and Herb's Winter Wonderland Ceremony Exit
Melissa and Herb’s Winter Wonderland Ceremony Exit

There’s no place in New Jersey we at Elite love playing more than Clarks Landing in Point Pleasant.  There’s a great combination of factors that make the place awesome, first and foremost is the staff.  Everyone from Don on down is personable and friendly and goes out of their way to make every event the best possible.  Throw in great food, breath-taking views and a room that is just incredible and Clarks Landing has it all!

We got to celebrate with Melissa and Herb and their family and friends at Clarks recently.  They selected Jay Thomson when they saw him perform at one of our Bridal Shows.  Plus they also hired Elite Digital Images to take the pictures.  We’ve added a few photos that Carrie took of the reception to this blog.  If you’d like to see even more, click here to see their photo album on Facebook.

We asked both Carrie and Jay what the most memorable part of the day was.  Carrie said it was right after the ceremony which took place at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brick.  As she explained:  “Instead of bags of rice or bird seed, Melissa and Herb had given all of their guests bags of fake snow.  As they came out of the church it looked like a Winter Wonderland and I was able to get an awesome shot of Melissa and Herb running through it.”

We’ll let Jay tell his story:

“Melissa and Herb met in a bar (like many of us) and the most memorable part of the night was a little surprise Melissa had for her newly wed husband. She excused herself from dinner, went and changed into a different dress. When she was ready, I asked Herb to join me in the middle of the dance floor. We joked around a bit and I asked if he was enjoying himself and the drinks. He said yes of course. I said “well I hope you have room for more, directed everyone’s attention to the French Doors and reintroduced Melissa at the Juliette Balcony as the new Mrs. Melissa Reece, told the story of how they met in a bar and told everyone we were taking them back in time to the night they met. When the doors opened she was holding 2 beers. Then I played the song “It All Started In a Bar” by Frankie Ballard. They danced holding their bottled beers laughing and kissing.”

So many clients love the convenience of working with multiple services with Elite.  Melissa and Herb were so happy with Carrie and Jay they posed for a picture with both of them.  Here’s that shot and a few more of Jay singing at the reception and rocking the party!
