We had the honor of providing both DJ and Photography services for Melissa and Christopher at Clarks Landing in Point Pleasant. They chose Dan Fumosa because they loved his energy and for Dan it turned out to be his final event for 2016. He tells us it was a great party and a great way to end the year. Melissa and Christopher also selected Carrie from Elite Digital Images because they love her work. We call Carrie the hardest working photographer in the wedding business so for her, it’s not her last wedding of the year. Amazingly, she still has two more.
We asked Dan what the most memorable moment of the reception was and he shared this with us: “Melissa was actually someone I knew from high school and there were a quite a few guests there that I knew. The wedding was that much more special as I really felt a part of the celebration as a guest, not only as the DJ. A moment I remember was a song by
Carrie Underwood, “Mama’s Song” that was dedicated from Melissa to her mother Karen. A couple years ago the bride’s father passed away and it was a real touching moment having them together on the dance floor. I then invited all the guests to join them during the song and kicked things into gear after that with Uptown Funk to start a great dance set.”
Carrie was nice enough to get us some great images from the wedding that we’ve included here in this blog. If you’d like to see even more (including a very cool “True Romance” inspired shot of the groomsmen) click here to see their Facebook album. She told us a great story about a very dramatic shot she was able to get of Melissa and Christopher on the pier in front of Clarks. It was right after their First Look and as you can see from the clouds it was about to start raining. Carrie was able to get them both posed and snap this picture before everyone had to hustle inside as the first few raindrops came down.
