For over the last decade, I’ve been so very fortunate to be able to celebrate with so many amazing couples and help them plan the biggest day of their life. Not only has it been an absolute blast but truly one of greatest honors of my life. Finally, after nearly 11 years of helping other couples celebrate (and over 33 years of being on this Earth), I finally get to plan and celebrate my own wedding with my beautiful fiancĂ© Danielle and we both couldn’t be more excited! We met a little less than 2 years ago but only very briefly. We re-met again a few months later and after just a few weeks of some texting and talking, we both knew something was certainly different and in the best way possible. Fast forward a little more than a year and we have our date set for May 15, 2015. I plan on posting several blogs along the way with tips and things I learn about planning to share with couples who are either engaged or planning on getting engaged soon. We’ve only been engaged a month and we already have our ceremony & reception location, DJ, photographer, and videographer. Sure it helps that I work in this industry when it came time to make decisions, but one thing I can’t stress enough is when it comes to choosing your vendors: slow down, but hurry up. Definitely do your homework when it comes to them, but don’t drag your feet when it comes time to make a selection. Go with you gut and I promise you won’t go wrong. Putting off making a decision will only up the chance of your favorite DJ or photographer getting booked for someone else’s big day. The other thing I’ve learned is how truly, TRULY important customer service is. We pride ourselves on it at Elite Entertainment, and now being on the other side of the planning, I couldn’t be more proud of that. This is the BIGGEST day of your life and the people you work with for your wedding should truly make you feel like it is and appreciate that fact. That’s it for now but I leave you with a little montage of photos from the moment I popped the question (special shout out to Lynn Monaco of Elite Digital Images for capturing these awesome pics). To all of the brides and grooms-to-be, best of luck with all of your planning!!!
