Amber and Kevin’s wedding was probably one of the most unique, due to the fact that they are both in the U.S. Army and actually met while deployed in Afghanistan.  When I first spoke to Amber they were stationed in Germany, and my first question was how she decided on picking Breakers in Spring Lake for their Ceremony and Reception, especially being that she was from Texas.  I told her that it was an excellent choice and to be at Breakers in May would be gorgeous and she would be so happy.

I was able to talk them quite a few times as we prepared for their wedding, and was delighted when I was able to actually meet them for the 1st time at their Ceremony.  It was an amazing Saturday, not too hot, blue skies, and of course the beach a stones throw away.

Amber & Kevin’s friends and family were a lot of fun.  They were definitely in the partying mood, and helped make the celebration even better. Another fun surprise was that both of their parents Anniversaries were that weekend, (Kevin’s parent’s was on that day, and Amber’s two days before).  We then had both parents dance for their Anniversaries to: “Watching Airplanes” by Gary Allan and  “Something About The Way You Look Tonight” by Elton John. Some of the requests were: “Your Guardian Angel” by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, “A Thousand Years” – Christina Perri, “Adalida”  by George Strait, “Today Was A Fairytale”  by Taylor Swift.

I was very impressed throughout the afternoon with how down to earth and happy both Kevin and Amber were.  You couldn’t help but being happy for them both and be impressed that while overseas involved in a very difficult situation in a war, they were able to find each other, fall in love, and get married.  I was very happy to be a part of their Wedding day, and hope the best for them both.  Congratulations Amber & Kevin!!
