A perfect December night for a wedding, and I was excited about this night for a few reasons:
The first reason was the bride and groom. When I met with them, all they wanted was a party. Teresa told me she wanted everybody in the room on the dance floor. Jeff is a big club music fan and wanted some of his music played to feel as if they were at a club although he was a little nervous that the guests might not be into it. I told him not to worry, and I would not only be able to play it but make people love it. The way I did that was sneak a few of those in between the commercial dance songs and WOW, did that work. People went crazy! So much energy in the room and the dance floor was packed with all ages. The first set of the night I went all out to show everyone how much of a good time we are going to have. Three songs in and Teresa came over to me so excited and with a huge smile and said “Oh my god I didn’t think it was going to be this good!”. That made me feel great and from that point on, I knew it was going to be an amazing night.
The second reason was the venue. The Channel Club is one of my favorite places to work. Fred, Li,z and the staff are the nicest people you will ever meet and they care so much about how the night goes. Every time I work there the night goes smooth.
The third reason was my assistant. Mike Walter told me I was working with a guy named Dan who is about to start training soon to be an MC. I love this because I get to help him and give him some pointers right on the spot. He did a terrific job, and I know he will be a great addition to the Elite staff.
Once again an incredible night of fun and dancing. Teresa and Jeff, along with the entire room, danced all night and I had to force them off the dance floor for dinner. The music was a big mix from newer dance music by artists like David Guetta, Pitbull, Avicii and even some older songs from the Hunka Bunka days (Final Chapter and Ride the Trip). I passed out at least 8 business cards and would love to party with this crew anytime. Congratulations Teresa and Jeff.
