So the wedding is over. All those months and sometimes years of planning and the best night of your life has come and gone. Everything went according to plan and your DJ absolutely rocked your dance floor and you can’t wait to write them a glowing review on WeddingWire or The Knot. It’s always great seeing those reviews pile up online and let’s us know we did a great job.

But every now and then, we will get a mail delivery that includes some smaller card-sized envelopes addressed to a specific DJ. And inside will be one of their “Thank You” cards with a hand written note on it. Not to discount how effective online reviews can be for future couples doing research, but getting one of those cards in the mail is a whole different animal. They aren’t going to do anything to help us garner business but that’s not the point. The fact that a couple took some time to personalize a handwritten note to us, sometimes 6 months after the wedding, is very special. It really drives home the fact that we helped create an amazing night on the biggest day in a couple’s life and reenforces that what we do is one of the greatest jobs in the world.
