Our resident new music expert, Alex Cameron offers this insight:

Alex Cameron Elite Entertainment 4

At Elite Entertainment, we do a lot of weddings but we also do a lot of Sweet Sixteens. When I talk to the parents of the Sweet Sixteen Girl, I always get the same questions. “What do the kids listen to these days? Should I be worried about my daughter’s list? Are the songs clean?” First off, all Elite DJs get “Radio Edits” of all the new songs that get released. “Radio Edit” means exactly how it sounds. Whatever you hear on the radio, is what you’ll hear at the event. Second of all, parents should know there is definitely an array of different songs that the kids listen to and no high schooler is the same.

But I’ve compiled a list of some old songs and new songs that have packed my dance floor this year! This list is useful for anyone planning a Sweet Sixteen, DJing a Sweet Sixteen or if you’re just curious as to what the kids are listening to!
